Purusottam Nayak
Field Officer
Purusottam Nayak is a dedicated Field Officer with extensive experience in sustainable agriculture, rural development, and community mobilization. He leads projects focusing on sustainable farming, AWD, millet promotion, rural women entrepreneurship, watershed development, and VDP initiatives. His responsibilities include coordinating these projects, training farmers and women entrepreneurs, and managing resources to ensure equitable access. He also promotes millet cultivation, water conservation practices, and government scheme linkages for maximum community benefit.
He holds a B.Sc. and has significant achievements such as establishing community seed banks in Angul and Dhenkanal districts and facilitating the installation of solar pumps. He plays a key role in collecting ground-level information for program planning and impact monitoring. In his previous roles, he successfully oversaw projects, built stakeholder relationships, and conducted capacity-building training on climate-resilient farming and watershed practices. Outside of his professional commitments, he enjoys playing cricket.
