Converting to Organic Villages
Project Background
In Nadia district of West Bengal 200 marginal farmers were trained in organic package of practices that were certified and connected to assured organic markets/ consumers to increase their profits by at least thrice of their previous earning. They were trained on High yielding low cost organic farming techniques in Eastern India.
Achievements

200 organic farmers were be supported to prepare their own organic inputs

500 farmers adopted Organic Agriculture practices

1000+ organic farmers self reliant in preparing their inputs and getting access to indigenous seeds

100 Vermicompost pits were distributed
